Pilot | Fox Springs

The clicking of keys filled the small apartment room. Niamb (pronounced neeve b/c she’s Irish) Dolan had been working in her office for the past few hours. She sighed and leaned back in her chair.
“Well it took all night, but I finished it.” Niamb said. “Hey Ethan! Could you come check this out?”
“BEEP BEEP BEEP”
“What?”
“BEEP BEEP BEEP”
“OH ARE YOU-”
Niamb awoke from her dream in her not-so-hot apartment. Her alarm clock was blaring and she quickly scrambled out of bed to turn it off. From her room, she could hear the sizzling of breakfast. Niamb attempted to tie back her red hair that seemed to be crazy every minute of her life. But of course, the hair tie snapped and her hair was left untamed. Niamb sighed and staggered into the kitchen where her boyfriend was making breakfast. She approached him from behind and hugged him. He was 3 feet taller than her so she was hugging his middle.
“Oh hey, babe.” He said, turning around to face her. He planted a kiss on her forehead, getting some red hairs in his mouth.
“Hello Ethan.” She giggled.
“Hello-pff-Niamb.” Ethan Vasiliás said, trying to get hairs out of his mouth.
“Whatcha makin’?” Niamb inquired.
“Nothing much.” Ethan said, turning back to face the stove. “I’m making bacon, eggs, and toast.”
“Great!” Niamb stood next to him, having to look up to see his face. She touched his blue hair that was starting to turn back to wheat blonde.
“I know, it’s losing its color. We’re gonna have to have Diana re-dye it again soon.”
“Yes. Speaking of which, today she and the gang are coming over.”
Ethan’s eyes widened.
“Niamb,” Ethan began, setting the food on the table.
“Yes?” Asked Niamb, taking a seat and grabbing a cup of coffee.
“Although Diana is great, she has a tendency to-”
“BOOM BABY!” announced Diana Endersmith, bursting through their window.
“How the hell? We live on the 14th floor!” exclaimed Niamb, dropping her mug.
“MY WINDOW!” screamed Ethan.
Diana laughed. She had curly purple hair that was tightly braided on one side of her head. Which now had pieces of glass in it.
“Ethan! Your hair is less blue than usual. Want me to re-dye it?” She questioned, stepping over the glass on the floor.
“Wh- oh yeah that would be gr-“
“Great!” Diana clasped her hands together “But first, I want to eat.” She walked over the the table, sat down, and began eating.

They were all seated in the kitchen. Ethan, sitting in a chair next to the sink with a towel around his shoulders, while Diana stood over him with a dye-brush. Niamb sat on the counter next to the sink, swinging her legs as she watched Diana do her magic.
“You know you don’t have to watch.” chuckled Ethan.
“I know, but I like watching Diana work her magic.” Niamb said, grabbing a nearby fruit.
“I’m flattered, but all I do is slap dye on his head.” Diana said, literally slapping some dye on his head.
“Ow! Diana!” he yelped, reaching his hands up to touch his head.
“No.” she slapped his wrist with the dye-brush “Don’t mess it up.”
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
“I’ll get it.” said Niamb, jumping off the counter.
She walked to the door, opening to see Andy and Alex Williams.
“Niamb!” yelled Andy, embracing her with a hug.
“Hey Andy.” Niamb squeaked from Andy’s strong and warm hug.
“How ya been?” he said, releasing his hug.
“Good. And you?”
“Better! I lost 2 pounds!” Andy pointed to his smaller-than-a-muffin-top tummy.
“That’s awesome!”
Even though Andy had weight, he wasn’t too obese. He let himself into the apartment and joined Ethan and Diana in the kitchen. Diana’s booming laugh resonating. Niamb turned her attention to Andy’s younger sibling Alex.
“Hey Alex.”
“Hi Niamb.” Alex said in a not-so joyful voice.
They stood at the door in awkward silence for about a minute.
“Do you want to come in?”
“No. I want to stand in this dull hallway.” Alex said in a voice of pure sarcasm.
“Seriously?” Niamb said in such a done manor.
“Niamb just let me in.”
She stepped aside to allow Alex in and closed the door behind them. Alex’s thick, shoulder length brown hair tied back into a small ponytail. They wore a sweatshirt with the words “I don’t give a fox” written on the front with a fox to join the statement. Niamb noticed and chuckled to herself. Alex made their way into the small kitchen to join the rest, quickly followed by Niamb. Andy, Ethan, and Diana were all talking about some TV program that was on last night.
“Alex! Hey there buddy!” Diana happily said, taking off her gloves and cleaning up the dye supplies.
“Hi Diana.” Alex responded, their eyes practically lighting up.
Ethan’s hair was all gooey with blue hair dye, and he sat there still with a towel around his shoulders. Diana was washing off her dye-brush in the sink as well as her hands. Alex just stood there, trying not to show their affection for Diana. Andy was laughing and taking pictures of Ethan’s hair. Niamb was talking to Diana about what she should do about her curls. Everything was going great. And then there was a knock at the door. Niamb went to answer it, and when she did, it was just the mail. She came back to the kitchen and looked through the different letter. Then, she came across something unexpected.

A new "episode" will be released every two weeks. If a word is split, sorry. I'll try to format it better next time. Also, this is just a pilot. If it isn't great, chill.
