Some Random Piece of Writing

I saw everyone around me weeping, but I could not remember why. A few held one another in their arms, some held small children back, and some people turned their backs on me and cried in their spouse’s arms. I tried calling out to them to tell them I was alright, but no one heard me. I got up and waved my arms in people’s faces to get their attention. A turned around to get someone else’s attention.

That’s when I saw it.

My lifeless body laying there.

Even I gasped in horror at the sight of it. Black ooze was pouring out of my eyes like tears. A hole slightly under my ribcage was being practically consumed by it. Mortified, I fell over backwards and fell right through a bystander. I could feel every bone in my body shaking. I couldn’t be dead! When did this happen? I don’t-

And then it hit me. The past 24 hours crammed into one brief second and the main thing I remembered was a single word.
